Information we collect

When you send a quote request we collect the information you type in: your name, an email address or phone number (at least one of the two), and optionally your city, project details and photos of the work area.

Photos are processed on our server before we receive them: they are resized and their embedded metadata, including GPS location, is removed.

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We use a hashed version of your IP address for a short time to limit repeated form submissions.

To see which pages are useful we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies and without identifying you. It records the page, the referring site, and your country, device and browser type. Visits are grouped using a short-lived anonymous value that resets every day.

We do not use advertising trackers, and we do not build profiles about visitors.

How we use it

We use your information only to answer your request, prepare an estimate, schedule and carry out work you hire us for, and keep records of our communication.

We use your phone number only to call or text you about your request, never for marketing calls or messages.

We will never sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for other companies' marketing.

Who we share it with

Your request is delivered to our business email inbox and, if you gave an email address, we send you one confirmation email in reply. To catch typos, we check whether the part of your email address after the @ can receive mail; only that domain name is looked up, never your full address. We rely on a few service providers to run this website: Vercel (hosting and visit statistics), Google (email), Cloudflare (Turnstile, which checks that form submissions come from a person) and Upstash (which briefly stores the hashed IP address used to limit repeated submissions). They process data on our behalf and under their own security and privacy terms.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, customers or the public.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and photos for as long as needed to handle your request and any resulting job, and for the period required for business, tax and warranty records. Requests that don't lead to a job are deleted within 24 months.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the information you sent us by writing to stormdrywall@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. Washington residents may also have additional rights under state law.

Security

The site is served over encrypted HTTPS connections, form submissions are validated and rate limited, and access to our inbox is restricted. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
